Class Meeting Information: Time: Tuesday and Thursday, 1:15-5:15 p.m. Location: HSS 259 Prerequisites: Passing the ELM test, or equivalent. Required Text: Financial Accounting, Weygandt, Kimmel and Kieso, sixth edition, and WileyPlus. NOTE: WileyPlus is an online website that will contain your homework assignments that you must complete online. Therefore you need to make sure that you have a WileyPlus code if you choose to buy the textbook. I will provide registration instructions during class. It is actually cheaper to buy the code without the textbook and access an online version of the text via the WileyPlus website. If you are comfortable using an electronic version of the text, I encourage you to do so since the savings will be substantial. Course Objectives: After completing this course, I expect you to have developed and understanding of: how business transactions are recorded in the accounting system the role of accrual accounting in the formulation of financial statement account balances
