Tips for HTM Career Fair Before the Career Fair Do research on the companies – find out about the companies Be ready to ask some intelligent questions Resume preparation – visit Career Center for assistance; have friend and professionals check for writing or grammatical errors; finally have Career coach check your resumes At the Career Fair - Meeting Potential Employers Be Professionally dressed – no jeans and sneakers Employ good eye contact and a strong handshake and smile Describe who you are – clearly “I am Alice Smith – a graduating senior in Hospitality and Tourism Management at SF State …….” Be prepared to talk about yourself and your accomplishments. Show interest! Act sharp! Be active! Engage in conversations with industry representatives.
