I suggest you print out each outline, bring it to class, and use it as a point of departure for your notes. The entire lecture will not be found in the download. Assessment (or how I assign grades) Average of 4 quizzes, (drop the lowest) is worth 33% Midterm grade is worth 33% Final Exam grade is worth 34% I use a decile system of grading i.e. 90-100=A etc…

Listening There will be numerous listening assignments. I suggest that you spend a short amount of time listening every day. It is difficult to absorb this material if you wait until just before the tests. The midterm exam will cover the assigned listening. Post-Midterm listening will be unassigned and will reflect your ability to synthesize listening skills from the first part of the semester.

You can receive extra credit for attending one of the Hot Summer Nights concert series. These sell out quickly so get your tickets early.
