Community Health Internship The Mabuhay Health Center (MHC) is a student-run, free, community health clinic that aims to reduce health disparities existing within the South of Market (SoMa) district of San Francisco. We are a partnership between UCSF, the Bayanihan Community Center, and Bessie Carmichael Elementary School. Together, we hope to provide health screenings, medication therapy management, and health education to SoMa residents, while providing an environment where preceptors, students and patients can teach and learn from each other to provide sensitive, accessible and high quality care. This year, Mabuhay Health Center will expand its services to the youth of San Francisco’s SoMa District by establishing an afterschool clinic at Bessie Carmichael Elementary School, tailoring our same services to elementary school-aged children. We are currently accepting applications for General (non-professional student) Volunteers for our Bessie Carmichael Thursday Clinic only . For more information, please view our
