Information Processing Approach A computer metaphor can illustrate how the  information-processing approach can be applied to  development: A computer’s information processing is  limited  by its  hardware and software. (similar to our memory and how  we think, info tht we are able to take in) The hardware limitations include the amount of data  the computer can process—its  capacity —and speed.  (amt. of info. Our memory can hold and the speed in  which we can get it out) The software limits the kind of data that can be used as   input, and the ways that data can be manipulated.  (limited by our memories and limited by the input that
