TEXT The residue of the playwrights vision of human experience and its significance. A construct which has a singular coherence and logic, or a self contained universe. A script or score which does not achieve its ultimate purpose until the practitioners of the theatre bring the textual world to life.

ACTOR The indispensable quantity. The actor is a point of convergence for all the other elements of the theatre and a conveyor of meaning. ALL IS FUNNELLED THROUGH THE ACTOR.
