 1. Changing
to
R1C1
Referencing:
 To
switch
to
R1C1
(all
numeric)
type
address
format,
go
to
Excel
Options
and
 select
Preferences.
Under
preferences,
select
the
General
option
and
check
mark
 the
“Use
R1C1
reference
style”
option.

 a. Select
the
data
to
be
plotted

columns).

not
select

chart
title

axes
titles,
select
the
chart.
This
will
bring
up
two
 new
options
on
the
menu
ribbon
–
Chart
Layout
and
Format
(these
will
 appear
in
purple
color
background).
 d. Select
chart
layout
and
you
should
find
the
Chart
Title,
Axes
Title
and
other
 related
settings
on
this
tab.
 e. The
options
to
change
the
chart
formatting
(color,
background,
etc.)
can
be
 found
in
the
Format
inset
of
the
Charts
menu
ribbon.

 
 
 5. Solver
Routine:
 Unlike
Office
2010
(Windows),
the
mac
version
does
not
have
Solver
built
into
it.
 To
use
solver,
one
need
to
first
download
and
install
it
from
the
Internet.
Follow
 the
link
provided
below
and
download
Solver
(Quit
Excel
when
installing
Solver).
 http://www.solver.com/mac/
 a. Download
Solver
 b. Install
Solver
on
your
mac
and
then
open
Excel.
 c. Go
to
the
“Tools”
tab
on
the
menu
bar
and
select
“Add‐Ins…”
option.
This
 brings
up
the
“Add‐Ins”
window.
 
 d. Click
on
the
“Select”
button
and
select
Solver.xlam
file
usually
found
under:
 ApplicationsSolver
(Folder).
Now
click
ok.
 e. You
should
be
able
to
locate
Solver
under
the
“Tools”
