Karina Santana April 27, 2010 Music concert paper On Wednesday, March 17, 2010, I attended the Music for Strings concert at the Levenson Recital Hall. This concert consisted of music by W.A. Mozart, Franck, Wienawski, Tchaikovsky and Prokofiev. All of these artists are well known for their pieces. The pieces were either from the Classical era or the Romantic era. All of the pieces were performed by a combination of the Violin and the piano. The concert opened with Violin Concerto No.4 in D Major, K.128 composed by Mozart and played by Stanislav Nikolov playing the violin and Hiromi Fukuda on the piano. The major movement of this piece was Allegro, which explained why the piece was fast slow fast passed. It was written during the classical era. At times there was a solo being performed by the violinist. It was strictly an Instrumental piece. I believe the tone color was bright because of the changes in music tone. The concert followed with
