MC 2003 Confused Words List No, the words themselves are not confused. But people frequently get confused, incorrectly using one when they mean another. To help you avoid that mistake, you will be tested on these words in the lecture quizzes, lab exercises and exams. So look up each word in The Associated Press Stylebook and Working with Words to determine its correct usage. Know them by the listed deadlines. Once the date has passed, the words will randomly show up on quizzes throughout the semester (lecture and lab).
