Christopher Webb Extra Credit The concepts that I learned in professor Stansfield lecture of Black movements and Strategies is the basic concepts and methods in which caught the attention of government officials and people who were outside of the movement. The most intriguing to me of all I have learned were in fact the political structure of America’s government that incorporates personal bias beliefs to go against a certain opponents that is not like you. What I am basically directly associating these characteristics with is the Republican and Democratic parties, which is a part of the mainstream and alternative political parties we learned in class on Wednesday. It seems as though race, power, rhetoric, white privilege and etc. ., all plays a role in the parties movement and it does in fact push myths of social construct and segregation. The republican and democratic parties for years played rolls in segregation and revitalizing racial barriers with urban, rural and suburban communities alike. Democrats, since the Harry Truman days in 1948, never been the same from what Professor Stansfield explained to us in class of the transformation of a new movement of political associations.
