Gregory Sicard Theater one April 4,2009 A Piece of My Heart by Moliere was a play that I was looking forward to seeing. The stage was an environmental stage because it was set up to surround the audience. Actors were able to be on stage and up close to the audience. When I came in the room I sat down and there was a big light hitting my face, the lighting helped me focus because I felt that everyone was looking at me and I wanted to be under the impression that I was really into the play because it would be impolite if I show signs of boredom. The characters started out fairly weak, but their performance was enhanced as the play progressed. I was confused about which actor played each role. I was able to notice Steele because she spoke with a loud voice as if she was in charge. All of the actors were girls except the soldier who played multiple roles. At the inception of the play all of the actors spoke one at a time about their personal lives and how they ended up in Vietnam. This was an interesting approach to learning about the personal lives of the entire woman.
