Cameron Vollmuth Extra Credit Opportunity Dulcitius- A Comedy? For this extra credit assignment I decided to read  Dulcitius , written by Hrosvitha.  Dulcitius  is about three young Christian virgins, living in the Roman Empire. Governor Dulcitius  lusts over these three, Agape, Chionia and Hirena. Despite his efforts, his lust cannot be satisfied  and the women constantly mock him, which causes him to sentence them to death.  Hrosvitha was a German nun and the first female playwright. We have talked many times  in lecture about women playwright, including Hrosvitha of Gandersheim; how no one can name  any more than one, Lorraine Hansberry, how they aren’t recognized like males and how none of  their plays show up on influential lists. Hrosvitha is an interesting woman playwright because  while reading this, I would have never expected she was a woman. Sure, the three virgins are  extremely strong in the play, but it is written with an interesting style. Reading the play first, then

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
