Cameron Vollmuth Performance Paper Outline Inroduction 1. Wiz Khalifa, 930 club, Washington D.C., 8pm March 28 th . 2. Thesis: After attending the Wiz Khalifa show, at the 930 Club, in Washington D.C., I realized that Wiz’ most prevalent identity aspects are definitely, gender, race and geographical location. Body 1. Gender i. Majority of people there were men. If they were not men, most women were just dancing or drinking, not really paying attention to music. ii. “But then, in May 2000, when a white rapper named Eminem, who couldn't credibly or marketably use the "N" word, started saying "faggot" instead, the epithet gained purchase with a new generation of young, mostly white, mostly male fans.” The key point here is “mostly male”, showing that not many females are into rappers. 2. Race i. Majority of audience was African American. ii. Wiz is African American himself and always provides a good show and great understanding of what’s going in the African Americans lives. iii.
