Abstract: In this project, I am going to design an alarm clock based on a micro-processor. I will be using different hardware peripherals to implement my design, and make it a user-friendly device. To display my time, I will be using a seven-segment displays and LEDs to separate the time, and display AM or PM. I would also be using push buttons for the user to select/de-select options, and a keypad for user to enter the time. The hardware would be organized using the Advanced Microcontroller Bus Architecture (AMBA) interface. The micro-processor used in this project would be ARM7. The above hardware would be ordered from online e-commercial websites trading in electronic equipment such as www.mouser.com & www.jameco.com . To solve the above problem, I will have to calculate and draw the memory map for the clock. As per the professors instruction, 4 MB of RAM and 4 MB of ROM is to be used. The I/O memory needs to be calculated as per the needs of the alarm clock. My below segments, will give an over on how to build this alarm clock. The design would
