Antigone – portrays many themes which one can relate in day-to-day life. This play also depicts the love of family during those days, also it depicts the male dominancy and how the order of the King were to be treated as laws. Even though, a victim be a heir to the throne, after his death, the King can order his corpse to be eaten by animals. This, play gives us an idea of how lives of people were during those days and can connect to it through the text given to us. Antigone – is a classic piece of sacrifice shown by Sophocles. One can see that family values and bonds are being brought down since thousands of years ago. On the contrary, family bonds also break for power and supremacy. Eteocles and Polyneices fought for the power. After their father’s death, it was decided that both of them will rule alternately every year and it was accepted by all. But when it was chance for Polyneices to take the throne, Eleocles denied from stepping down the chair of the King. One can deduce so many things. It really indicates how the
