Makda Date: 2/6/2011 UGC 211, Spring 2011 Assignment # 27 Response Paper on Chomsky Article Can I say we gain knowledge or more appropriately acquire knowledge through different mediums? Yes we do, for different kinds of knowledge, we have different sources, and we believe in these sources no matter what they tell us. The Super Bowl XLV report, we read it on ESPN, or what is happening in Egypt, we read it on CNN, or whatever we have been taught in our school is supposed to be true. But the irony is one cannot define truth. Chomsky, in his article makes us understand how the power and greed in this world has shaped the entire civilization existing in this world. I would agree with the author. This hierarchy is not new, the power given to people have been exploited over the years and would be exploited in future as well. Chomsky also tells us that the resources we get the knowledge around the world, is owned by diplomats and entrepreneurs who own big organizations, and have complete...
