TEXT COMPLETION Come up with your own word for the blank o Use clues and triggers After coming up with your own word, use POE to eliminate words o Don’t eliminate words if you do not know the meaning If the sentence has 2-3 blanks, do them one at a time o Pick the easier blank to start with o Find the clue o Come up with a word o Use POE SENTENCE EQUIVALENCE Same as text completion o Ignore the answer choices o Look for clues and triggers o Fill in the blank with your own word Use positive and negative associations to eliminate answers Group answer choices with their synonyms o Eliminate answer choices that do not have a synonym READING COMPREHENSION Attack: Read the passages looking the main idea, structure, and tone o For short passages, read the entire passage o For medium passages, focus on the beginning and end o For longer passages, read the first few lines of each paragraph and the final lines of the entire passage Understand the question task o Fetch questions ask you to retrieve information from the passage o
