SU 2005 EE 567 Microprocessor Labs 4 2 - M68HC11 M68HC11 Addressing Modes Addressing Modes Immediate (IMM) # indicator; takes actual value Inherent (INH) Part of opcode Extended (EXT) Full, 2-byte address Direct (DIR) 1-byte address, (upper byte assummed $00); faster than extended Relative (REL) 2’s complement number added to program counter Indexed (INDX, INDY) Offset added to argument Note : Except the IMM & INH modes each modes generates a double byte effective address. The effective address is the address where data is located.
