One person can receive help from the Holy Ghost by listening and following the promptings of the Holy Ghost ,which is often referred as the “still, small voice” which comes through each person’s conscience (D&C 8: 2-3). To be able to recognize the promptings of the Spirit, each person has to keep his mind and body clean and free from impurities, avoid unsuitable places and unrighteous situations (Helaman 4:24). In addition, the process of recognizing the promptings comes from learning to trust delicate, sensitive, spiritual promptings, and following them willingly such as Nephi followed to prompting to kill Laban (1 Nephi 4:1–6). The gift of the Holy Ghost is one of God’s greatest gifts given to us, his Heavenly children to help us go through trials in our lives and return to his kingdom. Following the guidance of the Holy Ghost will enlighten our minds, and fill our souls with joy (D&C 11:13)....
