KIN 3502: Tests and Measurement in Kinesiology Body Composition Special Instructions: You may discuss the lab with other students but you must do an individual write up that represents your own work. Part One: Data Collection Activities: Body Mass Index o Record your height and weight according to the directions presented in lab. You may weigh yourselves privately, or if you prefer and have access to scales, you may weigh in the privacy of your home. Body Circumferences o Measure your waist and hip circumferences. Again, you may do so in the lab, and tape measures will be provided. If you would prefer, you can complete these measures in the privacy of your home. Skinfolds o Pair up with another student and measure the tricep and calf skinfolds according to procedures in the book, and as explained by the lab instructors. Record the measurements and identify the score that should be used as the criterion score. o
