ETX 138, 1-04-2011 Course Format Meeting on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:10-4:30. Will be taking roll for each class. About halfway through each lecture I will call on students for some class discussion. The reading and homework assignments are in the syllabus. Interesting books to read are Silent Spring by Rachel Carson and Lives Per Gallon by Terry Tamminen.

Readings- provide background for the lectures, It is expected that you have read them before the lecture. In many cases we will discuss them and I will be calling on you to talk about it. Easter’s End essay indicates a class discussion topic. Homework- 7 homework assignments. Late submittal, one lecture-half credit, two lectures-no credit
