Ryan Ingalls It was very interesting to see who got some of the characteristics right, and who missed key ones. The most obvious symptom everyone got right was there is something going wrong in the head of the individual. The other two that a couple people got right were if the individual has high stress lifestyle and/or has a physical impairment. The key symptoms missed were seeing if a person’s highest level of functionality is lower than that of before, which can show a disorder is present. Everyone that I gave the questions to, I think did not know what schizophrenia is, because no one hit on a key symptom. Therefore, everyone missed the symptoms that include hallucinations, delusions, disorganized/unusual thinking, impairment of social cognition, and lack of motivation. Since the people I interviewed didn’t know a lot about schizophrenia, most of them refused to take a guess at it, but I did get a couple symptoms from one person. He listed on his sheet as saying people with schizophrenia have a speech impediment when
