Cultural sensitivity is important in healthcare as it creates trust and comfort between patients and healthcare providers; enhancing patients’ satisfaction and interpersonal control between the two parties. For example, an American healthcare provider should not be biased when attending to a Chinese patient so as to avoid cases of healthcare inconsistencies. In this paper, an interview on cultural diversity between an American (R1) and a Chinese (R2), both female, is conducted; these cultures are among the most contrasting globally. Cultural sensitivity is vital in healthcare as it eases health discrepancies and empowers access to high-quality healthcare that satisfies patients’ needs.
