Obesity- Addiction Model - 3+ of the following in the same 12 month period: - Taking substance more or longer than intended, - persistent desire or unsuccessful efforts to cut down or stop - A great deal of time spent on taking the substance - Important acivities given up or reduced because of the substance. - Continued substance use despite knowledge of a serious physical or psychological problem. - Tolerance- need more food to be satisfied. - Withdrawal Binge eating Disordering : DSM? ( not s psychiatric disorder.) - recurrent episodes of binge eating. - Discrete period- during a couple of hours, a person will eat way more than the average person (excessive eating period. Lack of control) - Most be done at least 2 times a week for 6 months.
