GPA Project 1. The GPA's for session 2 2001 of all East Campus students who have completed at least 30 credit hours are on reserve in the library and online at http://eastlrc.valenciacc.edu/faculty/langj/Stat/studentdata.pdf . (Or on Valencia homepage go to faculty websites.) Use your the random number generator on your calculator (or table of random numbers) to select a random sample of 25 from this population of GPAs. There are 4299 students. Explain clearly the method used to get this sample, show the random numbers from the random number table (or calculator), and the corresponding random sample of GPAs . Each student will have their own sample. (A) What does μ represent in this problem ? (in words; not numbers, be as specific as possible) Explain how μ could be calculated if one had enough time and motivation but don’t do it. (B) Make a histogram for the sample GPA's. Use intervals on the axis 0 to .5, .5 to 1.0, 1.0 to 1.5, … 3.5 to 4.0. Based on the Nearly Normal Condition in your text (page 537) use the histogram to decide if the t-distribution is valid in this
