James Lee Professor Tomlin English 102 Article Journals 1-4 Prevalence of overweight, obesity and extreme obesity among adults The first source I have is an essay that was written by the National Center for Health Statistics. I would say that the accuracy and reliability of the source is very high considering is a government site. The study was funded by the government so the statistics are thorough and very specific. The essay was written in 2008 and the data has been recorded from 2005-2006. The numbers are accurate because they are from the more recent side of the decade. The essay has a lot of relevance to my claim. My claim is that Americans do not think obesity is a disease even though they should. For this claim one of the information I needed was the number of obese citizens to show the reader the magnitude of the topic. Obesity as a Disease My second source is research done by David B. Allison. Dr. Allison got his Masters and Ph.D. at Hofstra University. He received his Post-Doctorates degrees at Johns Hopkins University School
