PHYS 325 Midterm Exam 2 Spring 2011 Instructions: As you work the given problems, write all work you want to be graded in your exam booklets. Only the exam booklets will be collected at the end of the exam. Be sure to show your work and draw a box or circle around all final answers. You can receive partial credit for incorrect answers provided that the work is legible and understandable. Be sure to cross out or erase any incorrect work. This is an open book exam, but only the class textbooks (Marion/Thorton and Taylor) are allowed. Other materials, including the Student’s Solution Manual, Lecture Notes, Homework Solutions, or private notes of any kind, may not be used. Calculators and other electronic devices are prohibited and may not be used on this exam. Cell phones must be turned off and put away. There is an information sheet at the end of the exam that contains possibly useful formulae, integrals, and expansions. I remind you that the appendices of your text also have many useful mathematical formulas.
