Motivational Problem Motivational Problem I am faced with many motivational problems at my place of employment. I am one of five female Crime Scene Technicians for a local police department in my hometown. Our office is located four blocks from central station. We find ourselves out of the loop when it comes to a lot of things going on within the police department. Two years ago our current supervisor was placed in change of our division. We were ecstatic to have a person in charge of us that could relate to duties of our job, and one that would allow us to perform these duties without him standing over our shoulders. That moment did not last long. Last September we had a mandatory meeting with our supervisor about cutting overtime hours. He gave us two options as to how we can go about cutting overtime hours. The five of us agreed on one of the options. This did not set well with our supervisor. We heard from other people that he was disappointed in us because we did not select the option he wanted us too. This situation occurred this past September, and this was the last time that our supervisor set foot in our office. This has been a mind boggling situation because neither one of us have heard directly from him what, if any, is the problem that he have with us. We have seen him while we are out on scenes, but the conversations are always kept to a
