Introduction to Law Study Guide 1) What is consensual crime? Consensual crime is a crime that both parties consent to committing. For instance, even though its illegal, when one buys drugs, they consent to buying them while the dealer consents to selling them. Everything happening is happening consensually. Consensual crimes include buying and selling drugs, prostitution, and during prohibition, the purchase and consumption of alcohol. 2) What advocacy is found in Margo St. James’ C.O.Y.O.T.E? C.O.Y.O.T.E is an organization founded by Margo St. James, a former cop, who wanted to help prostitutes and advocated legalizing prostitution.
