MINDFULNESS, STRESS & BURNOUT2AbstractThis assignment is comprised of a Journal Article Review (JAR) related to the topic selected for the Final Paper: Contribution of mindfulness and emotional intelligence in reducing stress and burnout for mental health professionals. The article Effectiveness of mindfulness interventions in reducing stress and burnout for mental health professionals in Singapore(Suyi, Meredith, & Khan, 2017) uses a non-experimental, one-arm study without control group, and is relevant to the final paper because it highlights the importance of mindfulness in reducing stress and burnout in mental health workers and offers a foundation for future research on mindfulness in reducing stress and burnout in mental health practitioners. The study employs a small sample of health care professionals but demonstrated a significant reduction in stress and the potential for further research to reduce the burnout.
