MANAGEMENT CASE STUDY 2 Management Case Study To: [email protected] Cc: Bcc: Subject: Payroll Decrease Proposal Dear Mr. Bawss, In regards to yesterday’s meeting concerning the current financial difficulties the company is going through, I have completed the requested proposal for the best plan of action to achieve the 25% payroll decrease in my department. The sales department that I supervise consists of 75 employees. I consider all of the employees in this department to be average to above average employees. The team is comprised of both long time employees to several new employees. Many of the new employees are women and minorities that were hired to remedy the lack of diversity in the department. I feel that the obvious solution to lay off the weakest or newest team members should be a last resort. With layoffs the company would still have to pay unemployment so it would not be the most
