CLARIFYING PERSONAL VALUES 2 Clarifying Personal Values List of Six Important Values 1. Honor 2. Promise Keeping 3. Respect 4. Trust 5. Equality 6. Responsibility The above list of values has many commonalities when it comes to making decisions. All of the values stem from integrity. Integrity is a firm adherence to a code of especially moral or artistic values (Merriam-Webster, 2011). This means that to have integrity is to always do what is right, no matter what. In my current job I am faced with making decisions daily. In order for me to remain a valuable employee as well as a valuable person to do business with, I must make sure that all of my decisions are made following at least these six values. Not following these values can ruin both the company’s reputation as well as my own. When a reputation is ruined it makes it almost impossible to do any business or make any money.
