Unformatted text preview: provide federal funding for many Indian health care programs. The Indian members are afraid that this act is going to be grossly changed. I do not believe that American Indians should worry about the Indian Health Care Improvement Act being repealed. Even if this act was repealed President Obama has showed support for the Indian Health Care Improvement Act throughout his term and even prior to getting elected when he was in Senate and he would have the power to veto. Although I do believe that many republicans do believe that the government should not be in charge of the healthcare plans for anyone, I cannot believe that they do not see the need for American Indians to have some extra help when it comes to having more medical care....
