91 Table 7-5 summarizes the statistical results for both, tip and skin predictions. Figures 7-8 to 7-10 present the predicted skin capacity versus the estimated skin capacity for the suggested method, CAPWAP, and Method 1 respectively. For the same methods, the tip predictions versus the measured tip capacity are shown in Figures 7-11 to 7-13. In terms of skin prediction, the suggested method, on average, slightly underestimate the measured skin capacity by 4 percent, while the CAPWAP procedure overestimate the measured skin capacity by 20 percent. On the other hand, Method 1 underestimates the skin capacity by 29 percent. The accuracy of the methods (govern by the coefficient of variance) is not as good as for determining the total capacity. Both, the suggested method and CAPWAP have very similar COV R values (0.39 and 0.43 respectively), while Method 1 is the less accurate method with a COV R of 0.89.
