In the early seventeenth century during the colonial expansion, the first modern corporation emerged as a "chartered company.” Corporation is owned by an individual or a group of people who are licensed by the state to achieve particular purpose. In the past, corporations did not have a lot of power, they were limited. States decided how long they could operate, depending on the amount of money they made, and they were not allowed to own other corporations. Today Corporations are the dominant institutions in the world that creating huge amount of wealth, but leaving behind environmental impact. As corporations grew around the world, its power began to influence people and their daily lives. Debates have been raging over the lack of laws that were in place to maintain public control over big corporations. Corporations will do anything to gain as much profit as possible at anyone expenses. Some corporations rip money off from people by exploitation. For example,
