TD- Globalization and Global Strategic (Dr. Cyd Naig-Coloma) Welcome to TD1. Before answering the discussion questions, please introduce yourself. We'd love to know a little about you, too -where you are in the world, what you're up to, and what you hope to get out of this course. Keep in mind that this is a discussion primarily between students in this class, my role is to keep the discussion moving and on-track. Examples and citing of sources is encouraged. Responses to other students’ comments are also encouraged and are essential to a good discussion. Q1. Please discuss the pros and cons of globalization. Q2. What is unique about global marketing? Part II Global Strategy What are the main challenges of global strategy? Please identify and discuss the various global, international, and multinational strategies which companies can adopt? How do these strategies differ? What is the most advantageous, in your opinion, and why? Hello all. My name is Dean Keveles. I am a Command Sergeant Major in the US Army and just gave up my position as the Commandant of the Fort Sill NCO Academy. I am retiring after 27 years of service and have accepted a job as a Program Manager for a Defense Contractor. I have been married for 28 years, have 4 children and 5 grandchildren. My family being here in Lawton, Oklahoma is one of the main reasons we decided to remain here after retirement, other than the lower cost of living in this area. From this course, I plan to broaden my knowledge of the global market of business, as there could be direct correlations to the new industry I am entering. Q1. Please discuss the pros and cons of globalization. Pros: Globalization, especially the free trade aspect, promotes global economic growth, creates jobs, makes companies more competitive, and lowers prices for consumers. It also provides poor countries a chance to develop economically.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
