In this Main Topic, the student is expected to understand the broad theoretical background from which the field of organizational communication emerges. It is the balance of communication theory and organizational theory. Please respond to the following questions: 1. What is an organization? Is a result of the process of organizing; dynamic system in which individuals engages in collective efforts for goal accomplishments. 2. What is your definition of communication? A process as an attempt to have you understand a situation as I understand it, hoping for a shared reality by characterized by openness, but I can also deliberately attempt to have you understand a situation very differently from what I know the facts to be. 3.What is meant by the term “constructing shared realities? What is meant by the term constructing shared realities is the human communication process. It attempts to construct shared realities through social interaction. Attempts to have others understand our world as we do or as we intend for it to be understood and our efforts to comprehend the world of those around us.
