Jennifer Mayo Midterm September 26, 2011 Annual Editions 11/12 Article Questions As cited in “Employers Prepare to Keep, Not Lose, Baby Boomers,” what does  Kathleen Rapp, manager of AARP’s State Workforce Program, point out about  healthcare premiums of older employees? What Kathleen Rapp points out in the about the healthcare premiums of older employees  they might be more marginally expensive but they are more motivated and less likely to  take more sick time as they get older. Because they also want retirement benefits, flexible  work times, worker-friendly environments, and the opportunity to learn something new.    As related in “Sexual Harassment 2.0: How to Combat Sexual Techno-Harassment  in   the   Workplace,”   what   is   the   misconception   among   employees   regarding  technological   communication?   The   biggest   misconception   between   employees   and  technological communication, is that they believe what they do on their own time is their  own business, and that they can post what they want, when they want. For instance,  someone post something infamous on Facebook by an employee who boldly describes the  boss a “prevry wanker” but forgot they had “friended” him just a few months earlier. The  result? A quick reply to the post and they are terminated. They believe because they are  posting things from their personal devices that information cannot get out.  But when they  are blogging, tweeting, and posting about anything: confidential company plans to spin  off a division, lay off a group of workers, or start a new product line; sexual escapades  between co-workers, etc. Can ruin a business and their image.  As cited in the “The ‘Brain Drain’: How to Get Talented Women to stay,” what  information does the National Center of Education statistics provide on the status of  college degrees, by gender, in the United States?   It says that women have earned most  of the associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees granted each year for the last two  decades; by 2014, they will supersede men on the doctoral level. Critical Thinking Application 5A: Recruiting on the Internet Would   you   be   more   or   less   attracted   to   an   organization   that   used   online  recruiting only? Explain your answer.   I think I would be more attracted to online  recruiting because it is more readily available and easy to find. It also shows that the  organization is actively involved in social networking sites and they are constantly up  to date. They know how to manage their image and care about its consumer or people

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
