ADM 2341 Fall 2011 Page 2 of 5 Course Description The focus of this course will be the role of accounting as a managerial tool, and students will learn to develop and use accounting information in decision-making processes within the firm. The approach will integrate the different areas of business; relevant areas of accounting; and areas such as behaviour and production. The course will use a variety of pedagogical approaches where students will be playing an active role – these include problem material, cases and videos. ADM 2340 (or ADM1340) is a prerequisite for ADM 2341. Your regular class meetings will involve a variety of teaching methods - from class discussion of key topics to exercises and problems.
