Unformatted text preview: Dear Reader, I really enjoyed my time being an ESL student over the past few months. Not only did it help me improve my writing skills, it also changed the way I used to think. Initially, I used to simply write down whatever my opinion was about the corresponding topic, or how I felt about a certain issue. However, I still think in the same manner, but I have also started thinking the order in which I put my ideas on paper. Keeping in mind the framework, the correct grammar, and the tone, I have been able to improvise my essays. Being from a country, where a different format of English was used, it has always been a challenge for me to get used to the American format. For example, the spellings for certain words in the UK format are different from the American format. American format – ‘color’, and UK format – ‘colour’.
