CHEN 3010 Applied Data Analysi Fall 2004 Names: _________________________ _________________________ _________________________ _________________________ Workshop #26 Central Composite Designs and Response Surface Models In this exercise you will use Minitab to set up and analyze the central composite design, most commonly used to generate the full quadratic response model. 1. Log on to one of the computers in the HP Lab Plaza. Launch Minitab. Select Stat DOE Response Surface Create Response Surface Design. .. from the menu. The problem presents a 2-factor central-composite design (CCD), so the default selections in the Create Response Surface Design window are correct. Click on the Designs. .. button. The central composite design corresponds to the first one listed with the default alpha value ( 2 ), so just click OK . Click on the Factors. .. button and enter names Temperature and Pressure for factors A and B. The radio button for Cube points is OK. Click OK . Click on the Options. .. button and remove the check from Randomize runs . Click OK .
