After used cooking oil was added in the mixing process of the paraffin wax, both ingredients mixed well and when it’s tested, the researcher found out that the experimental candle melts fast than the pure paraffin wax. But the flame in the experimental candle last long than the pure candle. It’s stated in the previous chapter by one researcher who also conduct the same study, that the more paraffin wax used, the melting time is very slow which is the pure candle, and this theory had been proven on this experiment. The experiment was not yet a success, because after the candle was made and not in use, after a few days exposing it outside to the environment, we found out that the candle was destroyed by the fire ants and fests. In a recent study or ideas, used cooking oil which was used in producing a homemade candle can attract fire ants and pests. So, the researchers conducted another experiment and found a very alternative, natural, and an environmentally friendly solution in this phenomenon. It’s

This was added in the mixing process only a percent lower than the used cooking oil and after observation was done a few days after exposing the product outside. There is no occurrence of even a single fire ant in the candle which makes the experiment a success! We also added some ingredients like fragrance and colour to achieve a nice appearance, but only a lower percent than the extract of orange peel. This ingredient is optional; its up to the individual whether he/she wants to beautify its product. Firmness and same shape and volume must be considered in computing the difference the time between the pure and experimental candle. There is a little adjustment when other ingredients had been added to the first experimented candle (used cooking oil and paraffin wax)....
