Chapter Three METHODS AND PROCEDURES This Chapter is concerned with the methods and procedures that the researchers employed in this study. It discusses and presents the research design, sources of data, procedures, statistical treatment and research instrument that were utilized in this study. Research Design The study employed the True – Experimental Design. This method was used to evaluate and observe the interaction of the Used Cooking Oil and Extract of Orange Peel on the paraffin wax (melted candle). This Study utilized Pretest – Posttest Control Group. Under the Pretest, The experimental pretest (Q1) will be the Used Cooking Oil; the control pretest (Q3) is the paraffin wax or melted candle. On the other hand, experimental posttest (Q2) will be the Q1 added with Extract of Orange Peel, while the control posttest (Q4) will be the paraffin wax or melted candle. True Experimental Design: The Pretest – Posttest Control Group: R Q1 X Q2 R Q3 Q4 Where: R = Random Assignment
