Milner 1 Bailee Milner Professor Poole English 1213 26 March 2011 A Peaceful Night In My Bedroom I’m lying in my bed in my room, it is very late and the members of the house have gone to bed. The fan is whirring quietly and the dogs lay quietly sleeping in the bed next to me. Ellie, a rather large black lab, is snoring quietly while lying on her back, feet in the air and tummy exposed. She goes to sleep that way lying as close to me as she can get, under my warm, thick comforter while I slowly scratch her tummy. It is cool and dark in the room, the air blows gently across my face and I sometimes feel a chill on my arms and shoulders from the cool air and crawl back under the comforter. I stick my feet out once in awhile, they serve as my thermostat to keep cool or warm throughout the night. I feel the breeze blowing on them and tuck them back under the covers. I feel the other dog stir. Hank is a redbone coon hound. He has the legs of a gazelle, fast and light on his feet but when he sleeps, he curls up into a tight red ball of fur. Our little kitty likes
