Bailee Milner Professor Fisher Writing Assignment 2 16 August 2011 The Economic Policies of Ronald Reagan At the beginning of his presidency in 1981, Ronald Reagan wasted no time in preparing a set of economic policies widely known as Reaganomics. To answer question number 4 from the Chapter 8 questions, this essay will detail the different aspects of Reaganomics and the assumptions that came with it. Reaganomics affected the United States greatly, in both positive and negative ways. Reagan achieved many of the goals he had when he set Reaganomics in place. Ronald Reagan seemed to be the perfect Presidential choice for that point in history. He graduated from Eureka College with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics in 1932. He served as California Governor from 1967 to 1975 where he faced extreme challenges with the California economy. Ultimately, his experience as Governor prepared him immensely for the presidency.
