SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT RESEARCH 2 Social Development Research For this assignment I chose to read “Key issues in the development of aggression and violence from childhood to earl adulthood.” I settled on this article in particular because of the children I witness throughout my city. Many children display varying amounts of aggression and violence toward parental figures. This behavior often begins in childhood and tends to continue into early adulthood. Many children seem to have resentments against authority figures especially parents. An example of defiance would be when a parent requests a child to do something and the child ignores the request. A key point of this article would be how the display of aggression changes drastically from childhood, adolescence, and early adulthood. The changes also tend to vary for each gender

If I were to write a research paper on this issue, I would definitely use this article. Not only does the author go into detail on the advancement of childhood into adulthood, but it also goes into how social development issues play a vital role when pertaining to violence and aggression, and explaining the ties between them.
