Linda Martinez Philosophy 106 SRP 2 Living in the developed world would be better off than those living it poor nations, if we set up a fund for disaster relief, housing, medical aid towards the costs in developing countries. By doing this the greenhouse gases emissions accumulated by the rich nations would flow into the poor nations. Historical responsibility is taken into account because we are seeing what happened in the past and using the information to improve the future. Also we are dealing with past generation problems by adjusting to them and fixing them so that present and future generations are better off. By having direct bearing on emissions, they are saying that it is ok that people in the developed world die rather than use more of the planets resources, this is morally wrong. Saving the planet is what we initially want, but why would we be saving it if there are no people on this planet to enjoy it. We are saving the planet so that present and future generations can enjoy their life on this planet. If we have substance emissions, then we are unequal or unfair
