In this part we will discuss how the technology affects the four functions of management in the work place. We will also discuss how the external and internal affect the four functions of management as it relates to technology. Technology and the four functions of management now more than ever go hand and hand. It’s funny because you wouldn’t think it does for a company like Coca Cola who has been making its product since 1886. If you look at coca cola’s history you can see how the functions of management and technology played a big part in what the company is doing today. It starts with planning and in 1886 Coca Cola founder John Pemberton did some planning and organization and In 1886, when Atlanta and Fulton County passed prohibition legislation, Pemberton responded by developing Coca-Cola, essentially a non-alcoholic version of French Wine Cola. Good planning and organization occurred again when on April 23, 1985, Coca-Cola, amid much publicity, attempted to change the formula
