Marketing 3401 – Principles of Marketing Spring of 2011 Dr. Tommy Karam 3122 Taylor Hall 578-5741 [email protected] The purpose of this course is to provide you with the fundamental concepts in marketing and to help you better understand the value of making marketing decisions. There is also the need to understand how product, price, place, promotion and people are critical to the success of any attempt by a company to be successful in the marketplace. Through lectures, discussions, and assignments you will gain useful and keen insights into the area of marketing. The goal is for you to become familiar to this exciting and important field. The course is designed in a way that affords you numerous opportunities to show your command of the material and your ability to express what you’ve learned.
