ELIZABETH INGRAM PHONE 407-582-2771 EMAIL [email protected] OFFICE HOURS Room 124, Building 1; Atlas Email COURSE MCB 2010C Microbiology - 4 credit hours PREREQUISITES Satisfactory completion of all mandated courses in reading, mathematics, English and English for Academic Purposes and a minimum grade of C in BSC 1005 and BSC 1005L, or BSC 1005C, or BSC 1010C, or BSC 2093C. COURSE DESCRIPTION This course is designed for Allied Health majors. Survey of microbial forms with emphasis on bacteria: morphology, physiology and genetic mechanisms. Pathogenic processes and microbes discussed in detail. In addition to specific microbiology objectives, the course will also reinforce the following competencies wholly or partially: VALENCIA COMMUNITY COLLEGE STUDENT COMPETENCIES 1.
